After my senior year of high school I spent a lot of time wandering around Manhattan, getting to know the town that I had lived in for 18 years. I frequented the coffee shops and thrift stores. One coffee shop even had my name and order down to a tee and even remembered it when I came back to visit from college. I loved it. I didn't have very much money as I wasn't able to find anyone that wanted to higher a student that was about to leave for college, but just being in these stores brought me a lot of happiness. I grew very fond of a couple of these places and I continue to visit every time I go home.
After getting home from Wyoming a few weeks ago I was able to stop back by some of these places that I love. I am kind of a hermit, so spending the day on my own after a weekend full of people felt amazing. I walked around my favorite places and let the memories flood back to me. It felt like I was re-falling in love with the places from my senior year.
If you are every driving down I70 it is definitely worth the jog over to manhattan. Here are a few of my favorite stops that are featured in this post.
