Holy moly! I am blown away at the response to our giveaway that ended last night! I loved reading each of your comments as they came in and enjoyed hearing about your preferences! I have to say, I was a little bit surprised when I tallied up the winner, as the fabric design was a little bit of an after thought, but the bumble bee fabric design won!!! It is one of my very favorites too, I just think it is so funny that as I was designing the others I thought to myself, "hey bees would be cute!" and squeezed these little guys into the empty spaces of my paper. I think they were on my mind because of the big wildflower giveaway that Cheerios is doing. Save the Bees you guys, go plant some flowers in your backyard and be careful with your pesticides (or just don't use them?)
The bumble bees and the backyard birdies won by a landslide, but the lions and tigers and bears were a close third! I, however, am having a hard time narrowing down to just 2 to add to the shop, so all three will be available in all of our baby products. Designing the fabrics is one of my very favorite parts about my lavender & clover shop so far, and I am so happy to add these little guys to the shop! Read more about the other new fabric designs below.
Originally 16 birds, and narrowed down to just 5 for the fabric design, these birdies are some of my very favorite paintings yet! This blanket features english robins, zebra finches, harris' sparrows, eastern meadowlarks, and house finches all printed on a light blue background. These birds will also be available as prints here soon. Find them at my Living Things Art Show at Mojo's Coffee Bar now, and my pop up shop on . They will be available online shortly after! I think the blankets and prints would be just perfect for a birdie themed nursery, don't you?
I so wanted to have this design done in time for Kansas day, but it just didn't quite happen! When I first designed this one I love the way the original watercolor paintings turned out, but I HATED the way they looked on the yellow online. It sat in my online design studio for weeks before I finally decided to go ahead and have it printed to see what it would look like in person. I absolutely LOVED it when I opened the box of fabric. I believe giggling was involved I loved it so much. It might not be the most universally loved print... but I love it and I think it is unique, so it is going in the shop too!
