What a beautiful and busy weekend this past weekend was- I had the honor of being the maid of honor in my friend Sara's wedding! The wedding was just outside of Hesston at the Emma Creek Barn, which was absolutely beautiful. I had been there once before for the Barn Sale, but with all of the booths and people I didn't spend very much time admiring the barn and land. It was gorgeous!
On Friday we all met out at the barn to start setting up. It was a slightly cooler day, but it was perfect for all of the heavy lifting and running around that we did. Of course, they wouldn't actually let me lift much for fear that I would go into labor and miss the wedding... We set up the alter and chairs outside as well as all of the tables inside the barn. Sara and Tyler added rope lights around the banisters and the girls and I made baby's breath bouquets. My favorite part was how easy and laid back it all was. We were able to find pieces from around the land to decorate with and Sara was so calm and easy going about everything. She was really the perfect bride.
After it was all set up we went back to Sara's house to relax for awhile. The wind was picking up, it was getting colder, and after spending the whole day setting up we were ready for a break. It was so nice to sit and relax for awhile before heading back to the barn for the rehearsal and a pizza dinner to end the day!
