This ended up being one of the first, and easiest, projects that I tackled when I found out that we were pregnant. I knew I wanted to find someway to store all of our books for our little one's library without taking up too much essential storage space. We don't have a ton of wall space in the room after all the furniture is in so I figured a rolling cart that we could push out of the way and roll back by our rocking chair would be the perfect solution! I found these 2 inch Castor Wheels from Amazon and this Wooden Crate from Target (similar/similar) to use for my project. I simply turned the crate over, lined up my wheels, and screwed them into each corner with some tiny screws I found in the garage. It was seriously that easy and not very expensive either!
It has been great to have a place to collect all of our books as I thrift them (or buy them full price at target because I can't resist) while we wait for the little guy to get here. If you live in the area The Et Cetera shop is by far the best place to find children's books for super cheap. I was able to start us a pretty decent children's library for our little guy at a fraction of the cost of full price books! Then we can splurge on some of our dream books later on. *Moose decided to make a celebrity appearance in these photos... that is until I decided to take a few without him and he took my moving him as my initiating a game of wrestle and bite. So I shut him out of the nursery for a bit and finished up. I wondered why he was so quiet as I finished taking a few pictures and when I walked out I realized he had been too busy drinking the rest of my coffee to be making any noise. Needless to say he was unable to sit still for the rest of the day, let alone star in any additional photos.
