When your sister is in town for a few days you take advantage of her ability to take pretty pictures and have her take some family photos, its just the rules. We took these while Hannah was here last Tuesday when Emmet was just a little over a week old, but we HAD to celebrate becoming a family of three (four if you count Moose...). I think this will become a tradition each time we bring a little one home to our new house... not that we have started planning the next one! We are happy with little Emmet for now:).
There was a brief moment right before I started pushing when it was just Dave and I in our hospital room. The doctors and nurses were off getting things ready, I was laying on my bed with the peanut ball between my legs and not feeling a bit of my contractions, and Dave was sitting over on the couch. We had just woken up from out naps and we realized that these were the last few moments that it would be just the two of us. It was a weird thing to realize in that moment and we took a little time for just the two of us. But now I can't imagine life without Emmet. Now that we have adjusted to feeding and sleeping schedules a little bit it just feels so natural to have him around. Dave and I still get some time to ourselves (which I know will change once Emmet spends more time awake!) and we are loving being a family of three!
