I've always loved getting dressed up for halloween. I remember almost every single costume I wore from way back before we we were allowed to go trick or treating (mom's rules) to college, dressing up with my mod mates. I had many favorites throughout the years but I think my all time favorite was dressing up like a roller derby team in college-complete with fake blood dripping out our noses and ripped up skull shirts. We even all stood up on the tables at our halloween dance for the judging... in our roller skates! We had so much fun.
While Emmet isn't really old enough to understand what is going on and why everyone looks different for a day of the year, I still thought it would be really fun to dress him up- and I was right! I sent little Emmet to day care yesterday morning in his wolf suit, dressed up as Max from my very favorite children's book, Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak. After school we stopped off at Mojo's to show off his costume and even got to do a little trick or treating with his cousins at his great nana and papa's. The sweater fabric was a bit much for our strange 80 degree Halloween day, but he looked so cute and cuddly with his little grey wolf ears sticking up out of that cute blue crown!
