Times so far that this pacifier clip has come in handy-walking on the prairie, clipping into the stroller, walking around the neighborhood, when other people are holding E, when I try to one handed go to the bathroom and hold him in the other hand, and most of all just in general when around Moose. Moose LOVES to eat, chase, bite, and swat at pacifiers. The way the bounce and taste must be hilarious because I swear, as soon as Emmet's pacifier hits the ground it is Moose's new favorite toy. Lord, help us the day Emmet figures this out and decides to play along! This pacifier clip though has saved his pacifier from the unholy germ infestation that is Moose's mouth and many other situations. Plus, it has prevented me from doing about 600 squats a day, which while they could be beneficial to my overall health, I don't think my thighs could handle that!
-Bakers Twine (optional)
This has to be one of the easiest things I have made so far, so easy in fact that I have made/remade a few (my mom's dog ate one)! All I did to make it was first, cut two pieces of suede cord, one twice as long as the other (the shorter one roughly 2 ft- you will probably have extra). Adding in the bakers twin is entirely optional, but I thought it added a fun pop of color, I cut it to be the same length as the shorter suede cord. Once I had all of my pieces cut, I took the longer piece of suede cord and threaded it through the suspender clip until the two ends were the same length. I then tied on the shorter piece of suede cord and the baker's twine at the same time before tying all four pieces into a knot, pulling the knot as tight as I could close to the suspender clip, trimming off any extra.
Once my string was ready and attached to the suspender clip I braided the pieces, braiding in the baker's twine with one of the suede cord pieces, trying to keep my braid as flat and even as I could. Once it was as long as I wanted, I double knotted the other end onto the handle of the pacifier, trimming off any extra.
We have to of these now so that we are never running around looking for them! We keep one clipped into his car seat at all times and the other clipped to one of our baby carriers so that one is always handy when we need it! Sorry Moose!
