I love finding DIY's around the internet and giving them a try! Here are a few of the ones I loved recently, most of which I have used in the baby's room! (number 1 and number 2) #1 mine theirs I really love globes (the baby already has 2 in his room) and I love all of the fun DIY's that there are out there to revamp them! My favorite one, and the one I ended up trying was this DIY Wanderlust Globe from Style Me Pretty Living. I loved the dark contrast between the black water and the green continents with the beautiful gold writing on top, I couldn't resist! I went ahead and spray painted the stand gold as well because it needed a little love. #2 mine theirs The Lovely Drawer has some adorable DIY's including these No Sew Geometric Cushions. I hate going out and buying pillows (they are so expensive!) so I am always willing to try my hand at making them, especially when it requires almost no sewing! Now, I did have to sew up a pillow to glue the leather on to, but sewing a simple square pillow is not hard at all. I love the way it turned out! #3 mine theirs I made a similar wall hanging this year for our Christmas decorations and loved it so much I needed to make one for the baby's room too! It was one of the first things I made as soon as we found out that we were pregnant. I found this DIY, Leather and Canvas Wall Hanging from See Kate Sew. It was so easy to follow and my wall hanging looks so cute in the baby's room! #4 mine theirs This is admittedly the third mobile I've made for little man's room and I think I finally got it right! I tried out this DIY Tassel Baby Mobile from Style Me Pretty Living and I absolutely love the way it turned out (I found my tissue paper at Target). #5 mine theirs After making the "Oh Baby" Wall hanging above I started knitting this baby blanket based off of this Super Easy Crib Blanket from Purl Soho. It was the perfect craft for me to do while I was exhausted and a little nauseous during my first trimester. I just sat and watched hours of America's Next Top Model and Project Runway Allstars and knitted away. I'm so glad I took the time to make this for my little man! I can't wait to wrap him up in it and snuggle with him!
What DIY's have you tried recently?
