a photo of Emmet every week in 2017
Do you ever wake up, look around your house, and wonder who the heck lives there and what sort of natural disaster rolled through to cause it to look the way it does? That is what happened to me yesterday morning. There wasn't a single surface that didn't have something out of place. I swear we go through stages where it is perfectly clean for days on end and others where we all get in these ruts and it all just crumbles around us. But you know what? Who cares, sometimes it's going to be a little messy.
Yesterday morning though I woke up and couldn't handle the way it was so I scurried around from room to room putting each and every out of place thing I could find back where it went. I did the dishes, I started the laundry, and turned on the roomba all while I was still in my jammies and brewing up some coffee (lets be honest, there was still quite a bit to do after the coffee was done...). I was on a roll and in kind of a trance, when I heard Dave laughing and looked up to see all three of my boys standing in the dining room watching the roomba. Their heads all turned from left to right in unison as it tried its best to clean up our horrible mess from one side of the room to the other. Dave had just noticed what was going on and his laugh pulled me out of my cleaning trance. I begged him to stay put so that I could capture the moment, one of the more adorable moments of my week. As soon as the camera clicked Moose raced back to see me. But I'll have this picture forever. I love my boys.
