Let's get to know each other
Lavender and Clover Illustration is based out of North Newton, Kansas. All items in the shop are based off of original illustrations that are then made into baby items, cards, prints, and so much more!
Meet the illustrator
My name is Leah Gaeddert. I am the shop's creator and the illustrator behind all of the products made here in my studio! I majored in Art with an emphasis in ceramics and art education from Bethel College. For the first three years after college I taught art to kindergartners through eighth graders and while doing so I discovered my love for watercolors and illustration.
I currently live in a small home with my husband, 60lb hunting dog, and two little boys, Emmet and Henry.
I am a "little things" enthusiast; a patch of clover, the scent of lavender, the discovery of a wildflower, the buzz of a bumble bee, a giggle from my babies. It's the little things like those that bring me joy.

After my son Emmet was born, I began to paint almost daily as a way to de-stress from new motherhood. My first few paintings following his birth became my first line of cards and I opened up an Etsy shop in August of 2016. Shortly after, I painted my first few flower bouquets that became a series of fine art prints.
In November of that year I discovered my love of designing my own textiles and my baby product line was born (pun intended)! I started out with just baby blankets, but as I crash coursed new motherhood and figured out new preferences/what Emmet needed I started designing more products; burp rags that were actually absorbent and little wooden teether toys.
After celebrating my shop's one year anniversary, I moved over to my own independent online store. I quit my teaching job so that I could spend more time with my sweet little boy and focus more on Lavender & Clover. Since then I have had a second little boy, Henry, and now have over 30 products in the shop and have products in over 12 different stores in Kansas and around the Midwest.
