Sorry for the silence, I have been a busy bee! School started about a month ago and it has been so fun to see the kids again. But I'm finding teaching, being a mom, AND trying to build an etsy shop can take quite a bit of time! I'm starting to settle in though and I have some DIYs to share here soon and hopefully Emmet's four month post (its already two weeks late... whoops!). He has gone through some major milestones too, so I really need to update... and he is huge!
This week I have been re-photographing all of my etsy items for a cleaner, more minimalistic look. I'm so thankful for Dave's willingness to let me set up the light booth in his office for the past few days so that I could take higher quality photos! Hopefully you will be able to see the designs at least a little better and get a better idea of what each card/print will look like when it arrives at your door. Taking that many photos though with the booth set up on the floor caused me to bend and get up and down so much over two days that my legs are actually a little sore! How embarrassing!
In my photography/work out session I also photographed a few new items and created several new listings that I am really excited about! I now have broken bouquet cards in "Thank You," "Hello," and "Happy Birthday," I've got two new cactus cards up that are studies for a much larger painting for my upcoming show, AND I've got five broken bouquet prints listed in both 5x7 and 8x10. I have to say these newer items are some of my very favorites! As it turns out, I really love painting flowers and cacti. I love scrolling through pretty pictures of flowers and bouquets and ogling them in the store. Pretty soon I'm going to use my shop as an excuse to get a bouquet of flowers from Farm Girl Flowers.... to "study" them...or maybe dave will find an excuse to buy them for me.... (wink wink Dave).
I'm pretty excited about the entire shop update and I hope that you will check it out! Be on the look out for new items too, I've got some pretty fun products up my sleeves for these next few weeks/months!
