Those of you who know Dave and I, or those of you who are (Very committed- thanks for sticking around during the drought!) blog readers know that we live in a very teeny little house. So teeny, that upon finding out our fantastic little news (big news really-but little baby) we freaked out just a little about where we were going to put everything. We are making this work though dammit. I love this house and all the work we have put into it.
To make it work though we are turning our once, mostly desk, office into a baby room/ office a lot like the third inspiration picture from Taylor Sterling's nursery. Her post on Glitter Guide is what made me realize that this would be in anyway doable. We started measuring, researching furniture and necessities, and measuring again. I drew up plans with some of our ideas and came up with an idea and a list of items that we decided could work!
We are currently in the process of piecing things together. We snagged a couple of items from IKEA, as well as a few or our existing items, and some hand-me-downs from family and have started arranging them and some of the baby items that we already have. Our goal at this point is to keep it pretty gender neutral (we have no idea what we are having yet- though everyone has been making guesses). I've never been a huge fan of super girly or boy-y things though we will of course put in a few pieces that maybe sway it slightly one way or the other in the end, but we will stick as close to neutral as we can. I love all of the neutrality in the images above! These have been our inspirations for our room so far!
