I am loving the upper cabinets in white and the lower cabinets in black that Taza has in her new kitchen! Dave and I are thinking about incorporating this into our kitchen as well.
Dave and I loved these butcher block counter tops so much we just knew we had to have some of our own. These two are from Young House Love and Live Simply by Annie
Our kitchen is so tiny! We need some creative ways of storing items, and of course it would be ideal if they could be arranged as adorably as the items in these pictures from Martha Stewert and Den Gode Feen
I am loving the idea of painting the inside of your cabinets a fun color. As a girl who typically gravitates towards neutrals, I can understand a fun color pop here and there. These beauties are from the girls over at A Beautiful mess
When we first started working on our home in the summer of 2013, we had so much work to do in this kitchen! There were old nasty carpeted floors on top of two layers of old linoleum. It was like peeling back decades as we ripped them out. The walls were a nasty yellow and the countertops were a speckly blue linoleum that curved up and turned into a backsplash.
Dave's family has been a HUGE help in our renovations. Each step of the way they were right there holding our hands and teaching us what to do (and quite honestly doing a lot of the work). Some day we will be able to pay them back for all of their hard work. So far we have already laid new hardwood floors and stained them, painted all of the walls, and put in new butcher block countertops.
Our plan is to repaint the cabinets and add new pulls. I am hoping to do white cabinets on the top, black on the bottom, and hopefully some fun color pops on the inside like the pictures above. We also plan to add a glass white tile backsplash and a few more appliances and such. It should be so much fun and I cannot wait to see the finished kitchen! I will make sure to share as soon as we complete the project!
Here are a few during pictures! You can see we still have some the old backsplash and the removing process has made it look like it is camouflage.
