Home Sweet Home

We are thankful for Emmet for many reasons, one of them being that he lit a fire under our butts to finally get our house finished, something that we had been trying and failing to do for a full two years. About two weeks before our due date we gave in and hired a contractor to come in and finish the remaining projects so that we could have a finished house to bring little e home to. Emmet then even knew to come a few days late so that all of the projects could actually be done! They literally finished up work while we were laying in the hospital snuggling our new little guy.
On the list of projects we had done was putting up the kitchen backsplash, completely building the laundry area (it used to be the biggest eye sore/waste of space in the house...), mounting the new microwave, and building shelves in the bathroom. I'm in love with how how it all turned out and how amazing it feels to be in a (mostly finished) home! We still have a few projects here and there but the main bulk of it is done and boy does it feel good. And hey, maybe all of the other projects will get done in the next two years (or perhaps right before the next kid comes).
