Because we live in such a little home, our little man will be sharing a room with our office. In our case it was really our only option, but we can make it work! So far all of the furniture has fit into the room perfectly, but the one thing that I have struggled with is how to make prevent the office side from being an eye sore in the baby's room. I realize that having a baby's room be perfect isn't the most important thing in the world, but I have always dreamed of one day decorating a nursery... and now I have a chance! Nesting here I come.
One of my solutions to hide, or disguise, some of our office stuff was to create new covers for some of the books that we own. I started looking for the perfect paper and happened upon this adorable (and educational!) paper from Newton and the Apple on Etsy. I ordered a few different kinds to play around with and loved the quality of the paper and the prints so much! The covers were really easy to make, I simply measured how tall each book was and cut out a long rectangle out of my paper at that height. I then used masking tape to adhere one end to the inside of the front cover, wrapped it around, and taped the other end inside the back cover (trimming off any extra). They took almost seconds to make each one and they make our office space in the baby's room so much cuter! Now it is time to tackle all of those cords... (and baby proof them!)
