life lately, according to my iphone
As summer winds down I am finding myself to be oddly more productive. My end of the school year self must have really needed a break from everything because it is just insane how much more I have gotten done in the last half of summer versus the first half. To be fair though, we did travel a lot more during the first part of the summer, which could have influenced a lot of productivity.
School is starting in about 3 weeks and I am starting to get really excited! I have already started setting up my rooms and I can't wait to share a little about them soon (I'm sure my grandmas are interested in seeing them ;) )My teacher nightmares have also started.... I have a tendency to dream about school and things going wrong when I am not currently in my room teaching. In one dream I had, they packed as many 7th and 8th graders into my room as possible, and I mean like hundreds, with desks that snaked around my room like a maze. I couldn't get there attention at all and was told that the school was really excited because they just wanted to produce TONS of artwork to put into a magazine. Yes, that is an art teacher nightmare for you right there.
With the school year sneaking in it is my goal to finish up the kitchen and at the very least hang up a bathroom mirror so that I have somewhere to get ready. I know that this productivity kick will squeal to a halt as soon as the year starts, so I am trying to end with a bang! I feel like my goal feels doable:).
#1. We finally had mild temperatures so a trip to the green house for some succulents didn't seem dreadful! These little guys will be some of the finishing touches in the kitchen
#2. This little white dress has been a really frequent wear of mine this summer! It is just so easy and breezy for a hot summer day.
#3. I DIYed my own bangs. Because the only way I can convince myself to cut them is on a whim. I like them a lot. My grandma things I look like flo from the progressive commercials.
#4. A sneak peak at our kitchen cabinets! I LOVE them already!
#5. Professor has been sulky lately. I'm thinking it has something to do with the crazy dog in #7.... He'll make it.
#6. This might be the last day (for now) of being covered head to toe in paint. My hair and clothes will thank me. The last two kitchen doors are awaiting their last coat.
#7. This little guy has made leaps and bounds of progress but he is still the goofiest thing I've ever seen. So lanky and so mischievous.
