39 Weeks

Here we are at 39 weeks plus 1 day. Dave and I got lunch at Mojo's this morning and I got stopped by a woman who asked me how far along I was, to which I was able to reply with just, "Friday." This little booger is due in just a few short days and we could not be more excited! I've had my last day of work, we've gone to our last birthing class, his room is basically done, and we are finishing up fixing up the last few things on the house. Even though I have been prepping like crazy, I cannot believe this is phase of my life is almost over and a brand new one is just beginning! While I am more than ready to have him in the world and to relieve myself of all of these crazy symptoms that go along with pregnancy, I am treasuring these last few days of having our little guy curled up with me always. My pregnant belly may be large, in the way, and prevent me from sleeping in my favorite position, but it is really special because it holds my little guy nice and close! I'm so grateful that my sweet friend Sara, the one who just got married, was sweet enough to go out with me to take pictures of my belly one last time! I will remember carrying this little guy always and I'm so glad I will have pictures to go along with those memories.
