a photo of Emmet every week in 2017
This past week was a doozy. We decided it was time to take Emmet's pacifier away, as his doctor had recommended it two months ago. It went terribly. The first day he cried on and off for three hours before falling asleep and he has been sleeping so lightly we haven't been able to make any sounds at all in the house while he is sleeping. He then developed a monster of a cold and there are boogers everywhere. AND on top of all of that we have molars coming in. My poor little guy has been a tantrumy grouch and it is hard for this momma to watch.
I feel like these pictures perfectly show how this past week has been, but instead of being at home, we took an adventure out to the blackberry brambles at Elderslie for a little fun. Emmet looks grouchy and I am pretending like we aren't tired and hot and sweaty and miserable inside, while still enjoying picking our berries. Despite his case of the grumpies, Emmet still curiously poked at the ripening blackberries on the bush and snuggled up with his momma on the berry ferry. We walked away with a big bucket of juicy and delicious blackberries that we've snacked on all week and we have scone plans for. We were tired and hot, but we (I?) still had fun with our friends and enjoyed a delicious breakfast. Plus, I always accept a good snuggle from my boy who is usually on the move.
