I just finished reading this article by Lindy West, written about being fat on her wedding day. I remember stressing about feeling like I needed to lose weight for Dave and I's big day because that is what you are supposed to do and it is dumb. It was absurd and ridiculous because I am in no way large, nor should I have been worrying about it in the first place. In the end I wasn't even successful at losing the weight, and I'm glad I didn't. I look more authentically me in our wedding photos and I love it. Lindy's article is beautifully written. I laughed, I cried, no really I did. My goosebumps are still raised and haven't gone away yet. Have you read the article yet? Do it. Here is another link just in case you missed the first one.
This adorable little etsy shop, Laeda, was just opened up by one of my longtime favorite bloggers, Sincerely Kinsey. They are based out of Kansas City (yay for cool things in almost Kansas(they are on the Missouri side)!) and they have so many cute things in their shop! Falsa blankets, flower crowns, sweaters, candles, you name it and it is all adorable.
Can I have all of the prints in Leah Duncan's shop, please? I would buy every single one of them and cover my walls with them if I could. At the very least I would have, I suppose, one in each room and still be happy. Though I feel like Dave would not be too pleased at the dent that that would make in our bank account. I'm already 1 for 5. So really I would just need four more. Que puppy eyes.
If you are looking for good instagram accounts to follow Tegan Klenner, from Treasures and Travels, has one of the cutest I have seen in awhile. It is filled with her adorable new baby, her cute house, and her amazing sense of style. Follow her at @teganklenner.
These "Dear Kitten" commercials are getting me still! Dave and I rewatched them tonight after Professor near attacked our shop vac. Couldn't help but giggle thinking about the "vacoom" from the cats perspective. Watch all of them. Really.
