At six weeks old Emmet has already been to a lot of my favorite places; Grandma and Grandpa's house, Nana and Papa's house, my favorite coffee shops/walking places in Manhattan, the pasture where Dave and I got married, and to Mojo's at least once per everyday he has been alive so far. I love toting him around with me and getting to be with him each and every day.

- Our little guy is getting really strong! He holds his head up for a few seconds on his own and kicks his little legs all around. Dave has been helping him "crawl" by giving him something for his legs to push off of and he pushes his little body forward. He hasn't figured out to pick up his head or use his arms in any way yet so it looks pretty funny, but we are still impressed!
- Emmet loves to snuggle and will only fall asleep in someone's arms. We can't complain though! It's so nice to get to snuggle him. We are mastering the transfer from arms to his bassinet, crib, or rocker, which is allowing him to take some nice long naps. My favorite is watching him on our nest camera when he is waking up... he kicks his legs straight up in the air and back down again which causes all of his little blankets to come off. At night this kicking rocks his bassinet and in return rocks him back to sleep, its pretty nice!
- Emmet smiles, giggles, and laughs all the time now! My favorite are the ones at 2 a.m. when he has woken me up to eat. I groggily lay him down on the changing table and look over at his little face and he lets out the sweetest giggle and suddenly I am awake enough to feed him. He giggles in our arms, at our smiles, at uncle Joel's glasses and Grandpa Scott's beard, and when he is rocking in his rockaroo. His little chin quivers and my heart melts each and every time.
